An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth To Power hits theaters Friday

As global warming seems to be a bigger and bigger issue, Al Gore returns with An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth To Power, which opens Friday. The first film debuted in 2006 and warned about a lot of the global issues that seems to be an annual occurrence now.

I’m curious how the response will be for this one. Hopefully it’s not just a case of folks on either side of the fence can’t hear any of the points from the others.

For readers in the District, Maryland and Virginia, An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth To Power will be playing at the following theaters:

  • AMC Georgetown
  • AMC Tysons Corner
  • Regal Majestic IMAX 20
  • Landmark Bethesda Row Cinema 8
  • Landmark E-Street Cinema 8

Here’s the synopsis:

A decade after AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH brought climate change into the heart of popular culture, comes the riveting and rousing follow-up that shows just how close we are to a real energy revolution. Vice President Al Gore continues his tireless fight traveling around the world training an army of climate champions and influencing international climate policy.

Cameras follow him behind the scenes – in moments both private and public, funny and poignant — as he pursues the inspirational idea that while the stakes have never been higher, the perils of climate change can be overcome with human ingenuity and passion.
