Despite several bumps and bruises along the way, Tom Cruise is on his can’t stop, won’t stop mindset with the Mission: Impossible franchise. On Instagram, Cruise revealed the sixth installment in the series will be titled Mission: Impossible Fallout.
If you remember, Cruise got knocked out of action for eight weeks while performing a stunt. The 55-year-old star doesn’t seem too concerned as another picture shows him hanging from a helicopter.
I kinda think Cruise is a little crazy, but man that fact he’s still doing all of these stunts at a point when no one would blame him for easing up is impressive.
Fallout will see the return of several of the old gang including Ving Rhames, Michelle Monaghan, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson and Alec Baldwin. Newcomers include an unshaven Henry Cavill, Vanessa Kirby and Angela Bassett.
The tentative release date is set for July 27, 2018, which given by how lackluster previous August releases have been will essentially make Fallout the final big summer blockbuster of 2018.
Rogue Nation left me wondering if it’s time to end the series, but maybe Fallout can get me hyped for it again. I’ll probably have a better idea once the trailers start rolling in.
What do you think? Excited about Mission: Impossible Fallout or ready for this franchise to retire?
