1st Round Analysis: And here’s your first big upset. I think voters totally slept on The Usos here. Modern WWE tag teams get no respect, which was a common theme in this bracket.

Tally: The Nasty Boys – 51% (81 votes) def The Usos – 49%  (78 votes)

(2) New Day vs (7) Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

1st Round Analysis: Like the Nastys vs The Usos, this one stayed close the entire time. I waited a few days for one team to pull ahead, but none really did. Every vote truly mattered in this match.

Tally: Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn – 52% (82 votes) def. New Day – 48% (77 votes)

(3) Los Guerreros vs. (6) Team Hell No

1st Round Analysis: Team Hell No’s volatility was enough to establish a credible enough way for Eddie and Chavo to get the win and advance.

Tally: Los Guerreros – 62% (97 votes) def. Team Hell No – 38% (60 votes)

(4) The Outsiders vs. (5) The Von Erichs

1st Round Analysis: I hated putting Kerry and Kevin against The Outsiders, but they were the only team who I figured would give them any competition. Like last year against Demolition, I like the thought if Kevin and Kerry getting beat by teams that have a third member/partner.

Tally: The Outsiders – 81% (128 votes) def. The Von Erichs – 19% (30 votes)

South Region

(1) Harlem Heat vs. (8) Big Cass and Enzo

1st Round Analysis: Voters didn’t buy Cass and Enzo’s chances at all against the 10 time former tag team champions. Cass and Enzo got blown out in decisive fashion in the biggest Round 1 match-up only managing 7% of the vote. That probably would have been the hardest match-up to book explaining how Cass and Enzo could have stole a victory. Looks like voters couldn’t think of much of a way either.

Final Tally: Harlem Heat – 93% (149 votes) def. Big Cass and Enzo – 7% (11 votes)

(2) New Age Outlaws vs (7) Tyson and Cesaro

1st Round Analysis: I thought this one could have been an upset and even more so if so much time hadn’t passed since Kidd and Cesaro were a team. They did put up a good fight making Badd A$$ and Road Dogg work for this one. I would not be shocked if they lose in the next round though.

Tally: New Age Outlaws – 66% (106 votes) def. Tyson Kidd and Cesaro – 34% (55 votes)

(3) Bullet Club (Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows) vs.
(6) The Shield (Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins)

1st Round Analysis: This one was one of the closest first round match-ups. The Shield and Bullet Club kept trading the winning percentage until a last minute surge put Bullet Club over the top. This was a fun match-up.

Tally: Bullet Club – 57% (91 votes) def The Shield (Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins) – 43% (69 votes)

(4) The Rockers vs. (5) The Revival

1st Round Analysis: This was one that was more lopsided than I expected. Maybe it’s their lack of main roster success, but The Revival proved no match for The Rockers.

Tally: The Rockers – 71% (115 votes) def. The Revival – 29% (46 votes)
