Check out Rob Liefeld’s ironic new character The Pouch
No, it’s not April 1st, but Rob Liefeld is having some fun at his own expense with the reveal of The Pouch.
Liefeld’s new tongue-in-cheek creation will be featured with his special variant cover to Bloodstrike #23. Michael Fiffe (COPRA) will be handling the art for Liefeld’s Bloodstrike Brutalists arc.
The Pouch is a spoof on Liefeld’s 90’s knack for overloading his creations with an overabundance of pouches.
‘Since the moment I introduced The Pouch on my social media, the fans have exploded with support and enthusiasm!’ said Liefeld in a statement. ‘The truest definition of ‘because you demanded it!’ The Pouch comes to life on the cover and in an interior story included in Bloodstrike Brutalists 2!’
Here’s the summary for the arc:
In BRUTALISTS Part Two, bureaucratic overlords with morbid agendas need love, too. What lengths will they go to? A string of gruesome murders, a deadly disease, and a dark conspiracy; for Bloodstrike, that’s a Tuesday.
