SDCC 2018: Take a look at the new Aquaman movie statues
Honestly, I haven’t been all that excited about Aquaman. Over the last few days, my interest level has tripled. That’s in no small part a result of seeing Aquaman will be rocking his classic outfit with a movie modern touch. DC Collectibles revealed three Aquaman movie statues and the costume designs have me excited.
Aquaman really looks great. Changing the costume makes so much of a difference to his look. I was on the fence about his Justice League Hot Toys figure and I’m glad I waited as this attire is amazing.

I wasn’t sure what Black Manta was going to look like beyond the helmet, but this is a fitting movie update.
Mera has looked right since the first shot of the solo film. Her Justice League attire was fine, but this more ripped from the comic book. The Amber Heard likeness is strong too.
Here’s the official write-up from DC Collectibles:
Making waves just in time for the King of Atlantis’ big-screen debut, DC Collectibles will release three new statues based on the character appearances in the upcoming Aquaman film. Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, Amber Heard’s Mera and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II’s Black Manta will be re-imagined with impeccable attention to detail as individual 12” sculptures. The statues will come aboard store shelves beginning November 2018.
