An unexpected consequence of Toys R Us’ shuttering is the impact of store exclusives. Mattel’s WWE line in particular had a ton of exclusives lined up through 2018. But thankfully, Mattel was able to find some willing partners to step in to carry the planned exclusives like the WWE Elite WCW Shark figure.
The Shark might have been the low point of John Tenta’s career as he became a core member of The Dungeon of Doom. It was a pretty awful gimmick, but Tenta pulled it off better than he had any right to in all honesty.
