Marvel Legends Classic Loki, Grey Gargoyle, Star Wars Black Padme revealed at Paris Comic Con
Paris Comic Con had some very welcome reveals for both Marvel Legends and Star Wars fans. It’s already looking like 2019 is going to follow 2018 as being a great (and expensive) year for collectors.
Hasbro has done a slow trickle of reveals since San Diego Comic Con. I love this approach as we’re getting new reveals every other month or so. I didn’t even know there was a Paris Comic Con, but now it’s definitely on my list in terms of anticipated cons for figure reveals.
Let’s not bury the lede here. We’re finally getting a Classic Loki figure! With a few more reveals left in the Avengers wave, I can’t imagine this means we won’t see a Classic Thor next year as well. Loki looks great and already seems to be in the running for one of my favorite Marvel Legends for 2019.
Another longtime Avengers villain will also be coming next year with Grey Gargoyle. He’s slotted for the Captain Marvel wave along with Captain Mar-Vell. I don’t care where these characters get released, but there is some connection as Carol Danvers battled Grey Gargoyle in one of her earlier adventures with the Avengers as Ms. Marvel.

Moving over to Star Wars, Hasbro revealed a new Star Wars Black Series Padme Amidala. This one looks good and is another great example of the improvements Hasbro has made with the actors’ likeness.
Chewbacca gets an update in the Vintage Collection and this looks pretty close to being the definitive version of the character in this scale.
