Avengers: Endgame fastest to $2 billion, now is second highest worldwide all-time

With another massive weekend haul including a near record $145 million, Avengers: Endgame has already made $620 million domestically.

That’s good enough for No. 9 all time on the domestic charts. It’s within $4 million of surpassing Marvel’s The Avengers ($623 million) for the No. 7 spot. It’s $317 million away from dethroning Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($936 million) as the top grossing domestic film of all time.

There’s some thought that the estimates might be low and that Endgame will surpass the best second weekend set by Force Awakens $149.2 million.

Worldwide, Endgame has steamrolled the competition and is now the fastest to reach $2 billion in just 10 days with $2.18 billion Endgame is now only trailing Avatar ($2.78 billion).

The newcomers were DOA. The Intruder, the home invasion thriller starring Michael Ealy and Meagan Good, fared the best with $11 million. That’s enough to make a profit on the film’s $8 million budget.

In third place was Long Shot with $10 million, the political rom-com starring Charlize Theron and Seth Rogen. Uglydolls brought in $8.5 million, which suggests it’s gonna have a hard time making back its $45 million budget.

Captain Marvel wraps up the Top 5 with $4.27 million taking its total to $420.7 million.
