Hasbro reveals full lineup of Marvel Legends Retro X-Men wave
We’ve been speculating for awhile and Hasbro finally put the rumors to rest by revealing the final two members of its X-Men Retro Marvel Legends wave. They should make a lot of 90s fans very happy.
We’ve now got one Storm in all white based on her cartoon outfit. I imagine we’ll see a black version within a year. Of the various Storm figure possibilities this was my least favorite choice, but because I’m a sucker and I need a Storm figure in my collection I’ll reluctantly get this one. I definitely want to see how her cape is engineered as it looks like arm sleeves from this view.
Iceman was the other new reveal. There’s something a little off with that headsculpt as he looks almost sinister. I like the rest of the figure far more than the BAF Juggernaut version. Hopefully this one doesn’t have gummy, shelf toppling legs either.
I’m still a little baffled by the decision to have Cyclops’ visor sporting some sort of optic blast flare. I’d prefer a neutral one.

Silver Samurai looks great. I think he’s the highlight of the wave simply because of Cyclops’ visor issues.
Dazzler is probably my second favorite and she adds another member to the Outback era team, which was the group I basically started reading. I got into X-Men just as Mutant Massacre began and quickly gobbled up all of the Classic X-Men series and X-Factor.
Madripoor Wolverine is a cool figure. I appreciate this Wolverine body as it’s noticeably shorter than the others and this one features the best unmasked Wolverine head sculpt yet. This is a Wolverine variant I’m definitely down with picking up. I wonder if Hasbro would reuse it for an Age of Apocalypse Wolverine?
