Oh you didn’t think Disney was done blowing your mind with these D23 reveals did you?
Ryan Coogler announced the highly anticipated Black Panther sequel will be arriving May 6, 2022.
“We’re taking our time, we’re really trying to get it right,” Coogler said of the production schedule.
Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige revealed Coogler has presented a script treatment, including the villain and title, but declined to share those details.
Previously Coogler said he was interested in exploring Kraven the Hunter, but with Marvel Studios “losing” access to Spider-Man related characters another villain will have to be featured.
It’s likely this won’t be a household villain as Black Panther doesn’t have the most extensive Rogues Gallery. Coogler seems pretty well versed in all things Black Panther so whoever is chosen will likely be a strong adversary for Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa.
