Arrowverse crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths casts Jim Corrigan

After the first official look at the Anti-Monitor was revealed for the massive Arrowverse crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths, another of his potential sparring partners was announced.

Supernatural’s Stephen Lobo is joining the cast as Jim Corrigan. Corrigan is the human alter ego of The Spectre, one of the most powerful characters in the entire DC Universe. If you remember your Constantine history you’ll remember Emmet J. Scanlan played Corrigan for two episodes.

Scanlan made for a very cool Corrigan and he ironically went on to play Lobo in the second season of Krypton. Lobo was slated to get a spin-off series until Krypton was cancelled.

In the Crisis comic book it’s the Spectre who holds off the Anti-Monitor long enough for the heroes to merge the remaining Earths into one. It’s a major moment in the series and one Executive producer Marc Guggenheim acknowledged as well.

“Fans of the Crisis on Infinite Earths comic know the Spectre plays a pivotal role,” Guggenheim said in a statement. “We’re thrilled Stephen is our Jim Corrigan.”

Sounds like we could be headed for a massive showdown. I’m shocked the Arrowverse creators seem so intent on doing right by Crisis. This really could be the live-action take on this that I never dreamed could be possible.
