Freedom Fighters #10

The Freedom Fighters are making their big stand against the Nazis in one of the more satisfying entries in the maxi-series so far.

Writer Robert Venditti has set up this conflict nicely so it’s fun watching the united Freedom Fighters taking the fight to the bad guys who truly have this beat down coming. There wasn’t a ton of character development here, but Venditti does create some solid moments for each member of the team.

Eddy Barrows continues bringing his electric dynamic art. Barrows is a strong storyteller but he shines in these blockbuster action sequences. There’s some moments in this issue Venditti has been building up since the start of the series and Barrows paid it off beautifully.

Freedom Fighters has been a sensational series and this issue didn’t disappoint. Hopefully the sales have been good enough to warrant an ongoing series or at least another maxi-series.
