Just as the Arrowverse is about due for a new name with Arrow ending this season, it might be time to call it the Superverse. The CW has reportedly given a series order for the Superman and Lois show.
That’s good news for fans of the take of the characters by Tyler Hoechelin and Elizabeth Tulloch.
Variety reports the series is in still in the script stage with The Flash showrunner Todd Helbing writing the first episode. That episode will be shot in the spring ahead of The CW’s May upfront presentation.
Superman and Lois will follow the world’s most famous super hero and comic books’ most famous journalist as they deal with all the stress, pressures, and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.

This closely lines up with the premise of the DC Rebirth take on Superman, which focused on Superman and Lois raising their son, Jonathan, while dealing with his increasing interest in becoming a hero. There’s been some rumors that the series will also introduce Damian Wayne to have some moments featuring the Super Sons.
Helbing will also executive produce alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns. If the series captures the tone of the comics it could very quickly become one of the Arrowverse’s best shows.
How excited are you about this one?
