When last we saw The Hulk, he had his arm in a sling as he helped Captain America travel through time to replace the Infinity Stones in Avengers: Endgame. For star Mark Ruffalo,a reflective look through the years of the Hulk could also be fun.
In a profile piece with Variety, Ruffalo said he’s open to following Hulk’s life in between the various movies.
“There’s an idea that I think could be really interesting,” Ruffalo said. “We’ve never really followed him into his life. He’s always kind of off on the side. He’s like the Rosencrantz and Guildenstern of the Avengers. It’d be interesting to fill in all the blanks about what happened to him in between all these movies.”
To some extent, filling in the blanks of a character sounds like the approach Marvel Studios is taking with the Black Widow standalone. That film will look at Black Widow’s exploits in between teaming with the Avengers and SHIELD.

A Hulk standalone would definitely be cool and seems overdue since the last Hulk feature was 2008’s The Incredible Hulk starring Edward Norton. If nothing else he’s still got to tangle with The Leader, who was teased in the last film.
For now, Ruffalo’s next Marvel Cinematic Universe appearance seems like it’s going to be in the Disney+ series She-Hulk whenever that arrives.
