The group gets more than they bargained for as they begin exploring Unity, but an unwelcomed presence threatens to ruin everything.

One of the cooler aspects of this series is that legitimate feel that anything can happen. Ace Kenyatta sums it up best when talking about how ingenuity has always inspired him as man found and overcame various challenges from cars to space travel to the Internet. With that perspective, the concept of Unity doesn’t seem that far fetched and writers Charles Soule and Scott Snyder take the idea of a highly evolved district to a fascinating direction. What’s really fun here is the group’s different interpretations of what’s possible.

For Daniel and Charlotte that’s reconnecting with their presumed dead parents. For Ace it’s exploring Unity’s creative abilities while others see this as a means to save the area beyond the walls.

Artist Giuseppe Camuncoli gets to play in the creative process as well in designing Unity and the unique attire of its citizens. The tech aspects of the creations reveal the inorganic nature of the constructs and its sterile environment. Matt Wilson’s color also does a strong job of showing what happens when new elements get added to Unity.

This arc already has a wildly different feel than the Destiny storyline and shows the versatility of Undiscovered Country and how limitless this series can truly be.
