With Alfred Molina, Jamie Foxx back will we see the Sinister Six in Spider-Man 3?
Today’s big comic book movie news is Alfred Molina will be reprising his Doctor Octopus role for Spider-Man 3.
Jamie Foxx is returning as Electro from his role in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and with Vulture and Mysterio already appearing in the Tom Holland Spider-Man films, is it possible we’re going to see the Sinister Six make their Marvel Studios debut?
The Sinister Six was one of the first villain groups in Marvel Comics as six of Spider-Man’s toughest foes — Doctor Octopus, Kraven the Hunter, The Vulture, Mysterio, Sandman and Electro — united to take down the Web-Slinger once and for all. The alliance has been a regular fixture in Spider-Man comics albeit with a few changes to the roster.

Thomas Haden Church was one of the best aspects of the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man trilogy as Sandman so he’s already an option. In the seven Spider-Man films we haven’t seen Kraven the Hunter so he’s the last member of the group that hasn’t been revealed although this could be a relatively easy way to incorporate him into the fold as the less talkative, quiet hunter.
The latest news now is that Andrew Garfield has signed on to the film with Maguire and Kirsten Dunst in talks and Emma Stone also expected back, but if you’ve seen TASM2 you know that might be kinda tricky…
Benedict Cumberbatch is already showing up as Doctor Strange, but would you want to see Miles Morales pop up in this apparently epic Spider-Man as well?
