DC’s Future State of books kicked off this week with some different slants on titles that were a lot more fun than I was expecting. Next week unleashes the next slate of books including Kara Zor-El, Superwoman #1, which offers the next evolution in Superman’s favorite cousin.
DC sent along a few preview pages of the book, written by Marguerite Bennett with art by Marguerite Sauvage. Clearly, this is going to be a unique title as how often do you have two Marguerites collaborating on a book?
Kara Zor-El, the hot-tempered cousin of Superman, has finally found peace and purpose away from Earth and its heroes. Now known as Superwoman, she watches over the Moon and the refugees from across the galaxy who have congregated there.
But all of that is about to change when a spaceship piloted by a runaway alien crash lands and turns Kara’s world upside down!
Does this fugitive come in peace, or does this arrival bring war to Kara’s front door? Find out on Tuesday, January 12!
