Many folks HATED Jared Leto’s Joker appearance in Suicide Squad. His version of the character wasn’t terrible, but the tattoos felt too on the nose for a character that already has white skin, green hair and red lips.
Zack Snyder, a director renown for his low-key approach to things (insert sarcasm emoji), opted for a different look at the character set in the same era as the Knightmare Batman from that controversial sequence in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Vanity Fair revealed the first look at the images in the upcoming Justice League Snyder Cut coming to HBO Max on March 13.
Leto’s Joker now features longer hair and apparently he went to a laser tech to get the tattoos removed (good call) and his ruby red lipstick is smeared in more exaggerated fashion than usual.
