Star Wars The Black Series Bad Batch Crosshair figure review
Every team needs that bad attitude member. The X-Men have Wolverine, the Justice League has Batman and The Bad Batch has Crosshair. Crosshair is the cold and sharp member of the genetically altered clone squad, but his skills with a long distance rifle more than make up for his lack of personality.
I was able to find Hunter early in my…hunt for the Bad Batch figures, but Crosshair took a bit more work. Now that I’ve got him in my sights, let’s see if he was worth the effort.
Packaging: The Bad Batch gets their dark red color scheme as the package accent color.
The bio work as usual gives a maximum amount of personalization and does a terrific job of summarizing the character with a limited amount of space.
Likeness: Crosshair is the arrogant sniper of the team and the headsculpt does a tremendous job of conveying his haughtiness. I remain impressed with the Hasbro team’s efforts in translating animated characters to a more realistic, live action appearance for the figures. Unlike most of the Clones, the Jango Fett likeness isn’t quite as obvious.

Crosshair reuses the same all-new sculpt Hasbro used for Hunter. There’s just a few differences. Crosshair gets a bandolier connecting to his unique belt. The bandolier has terrific leather-like texturing and the shells are well detailed.
He also has an extended edge on his left shoulder, which may be something he uses to stabilize himself while in his sniper stance.
I don’t have any issue with the basic Bad Batch members sharing parts since the clones should have a standard uniform like their fellow clones just painted and geared out differently.
The detail work on the armor conveys the brutal nature of work on Clone Force 99 as it’s loaded with scrapes, scuffs and overall wear and tear.
Paint: Like Hunter, and the rest of The Bad Batch, Crosshair features a shadowy grey and red color scheme instead of the standard white clone gear. I’m very impressed by the realistic application of the scar over his right eye. The scarring damage around the eye is very intricate as well.
The detail work like the 99’s skulls logo and the paneling is precise and well executed at this scale. There’s nothing unique with his color scheme, but he does give me Lowlight vibes thanks to his color scheme and less than friendly demeanor.

Scale: I think I’m ready to start tracking down some of these older clone figures, but based on the somewhat limited reference pictures, Crosshair should stand a bit taller than Hunter and only look up to Wrecker.
Articulation: This new body allows for very smooth movement allowing Crosshair to pull off some very efficient sniper poses. The only thing is the kneepad positioning still makes for some weird jutting and placements depending on how you pose Crosshair.
Crosshair has:
- neck
- ball-jointed shoulders (with butterfly joints)
- elbow (with swivel)
- wrist
- wrist hinge
- torso
- hips
- thighs
- knees (double jointed)
- ankles
Accessories: Crosshair has a full amount of gear.
His Clone Trooper helmet has a unique design that somewhat resembles the duckbill of the Separatists’ battle droids. I loved the raised right eye section as it shows the custom design of the helmet for Crosshair.
His main accessory is his extended sniper rifle.
Crosshair also has a smaller blaster. It’s intricately designed for such a small pistol and fits easily in his left side holster.
Crosshair reuses the same backpack as Hunter.
Worth it? I got Crosshair for the basic $20 price tag. That’s not ideal since there’s no difference between these guys and standard figures.
Rating: 9.5 out of 10
Besides the kneepad, Crosshair really turned out well and Hasbro knocked out one of my favorite members of the Bad Batch.
Where to get it? You can get Crosshair from the usual retail suspects like Target and Walmart if you’re lucky. If not, give Amazon or Entertainment Earth. a shot.
