The Star Wars/Cicadas mash-up you never knew you needed
Every 17 years, the Eastern region gets hit by an invasion of the cicadas. They’re out to party, mate and otherwise have a great time. Their chiming somehow morphs into this melodious white noise. After about a month of being everywhere they burrow back underground to return in another 17 years.
Regular reader Mindy Weller Freedman decided to have a little fun with these ever present insects and some Star Wars figures.
These tapped into my love of The Far Side and I’m a sucker for 99.5% all things Star Wars so this was amazing to me and she was gracious enough to share them for the site.
