Check out the new Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins trailer

Soooo, the new Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins trailer dropped today.

Have I said how much I hate the trailer soundtrack, because I hate it. There’s nothing remotely Snake Eyes about it and seems far more fitting for Black Panther 2.

The more I see of the trailer the more I’m convinced that this second cinematic reboot of G.I. Joe ain’t it, boss. Snake Eyes’ visor snaps down from his motorcycle helmet?

Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow didn’t fight in a war together, but pals at a fish warehouse?

He gets tipped off to Cobra before joining G.I. Joe?

And why are Scarlett and Baroness here in the first place?

MORE:

Here’s the synopsis, which increasingly has me worried now:

Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins stars Henry Golding as Snake Eyes, a tenacious loner who is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent.

Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he’s been longing for: a home. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honor and allegiance will be tested – even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him. Based on the iconic G.I. Joe character, Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins also stars Andrew Koji as Storm Shadow, Úrsula Corberó as The Baroness, Samara Weaving as Scarlett, Haruka Abe as Akiko, Tahehiro Hira as Kenta and Iko Uwais as Hard Master.

We also got a new poster, which is pretty cool. I like the sorta subtle Cobra logo in the background.

What do you think of the new trailer? Does it leave you more or less excited about seeing the film?
