DC Comics reviews 6/22/21 – Infinite Frontier #1, Robin #3

Wonder Woman #774

Wonder Woman’s latest time displaced arc takes her to Olympus where the gods have been wiped out and Diana is trying to find their killer.

Writers Michael W. Conrad and Becky Cloonan spend a lot of time this issue establishing the new framework for this arc. This doesn’t make for the most exciting kickoff to this storyline.

Andy MacDonald takes over artist responsibilities from Travis Moore. This was an ideal time to shift artists, but MacDonald’s art lacks the smooth, refined visuals of Moore’s work. His Wonder Woman is rough and often looks like she’s posed instead of naturally being a part of the environment.

The start of this arc wasn’t as captivating as Wonder Woman in Ragnarok. It’s got time to develop, but this did get off to the best start.
