Dwayne Johnson slams his future with Fast and Furious franchise
Sounds like The Rock laid the verbal smack down on Vin Diesel and slammed any notion of returning to the main Fast and Furious series.
Diesel seemed to rekindle the feud that escalated to the point Diesel and Johnson never shot any scenes together in The Fate of the Furious.
“We had to get there and sometimes, at that time, I could give a lot of tough love,” Diesel said in an interview with Men’s Health. “Not Felliniesque, but I would do anything I’d have to do in order to get performances in anything I’m producing.”
While making the promotional rounds for his upcoming Jungle Cruise on an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Johnson said he got a good laugh out of Diesel’s comments.
“I laughed and I laughed hard,” said the former WWE superstar. “I think everyone had a laugh at that. And I’ll leave it at that.”

Back in 2019 while hyping Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Johnson’s comments on Instagram suggested he’d be returning to the main franchise with a shout out to “Brother Vin” with a line from an earlier collaboration in the series. “I’ll be seeing you soon, Toretto.”
Now Johnson appears to have walked back his earlier comments, with this statement.
“I’ve wished them well. I wish them well on Fast 9. And I wish them the best of luck on Fast 10 and Fast 11 and the rest of the Fast & Furious movies they do that will be without me.”
So sounds like we’ll be seeing more of John Cena for the next two films. What do you think of this news?
