Mattel’s SDCC 2021 WWE reveals include The Goon, RVD, The Scorpion King
Mattel had its WWE SDCC Con@Home panel today and we got some very cool reveals and an expansion of some popular lines.
WWE Elite 88
Zodiak was one of the crazier reveals. And I somehow am starting to regret not getting that Target exclusive Shark all those years ago. Zodiak will have the sleeves with the fringes.
You can pre-order from Entertainment Earth at the following links:
Elite 89
Elite 90
Elite 91
I think I’m going to end up having an extensive Elite collection of Bianca figures.
Elite 92
We finally get the camo Adam Cole to complete but it’s the chase figure (womp womp).
This is a questionable move from Mattel. Collectors have been clamoring for this camo Cole to match the Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong figures in camo Undisputed Era for months. The camo versions of the previous three were the regular figure and now Mattel shifts that to make Cole the chase? Bad call.
Burnt Fiend, Gladiator style Karrion Kross and Chainsaw Charlie are slated for a future line. The Raquel Gonzalez figure seems way too slight and short.
Royal Rumble Elite line exclusive to Target:
Canadian Earthquake, Yokozuna, Big E and Dakota Kai
This looks like a solid 4 for 4 set for me provided I can find them. And there’s more incentive as all theme pay per view waves will have a Build-A-Figure. This one features an updated Jimmy Hart with a streamlined jacket so he’s not so bulky.
Wrestlemania wave includes AJ Styles and tuxedo Vince McMahon (Wrestlemania 3) that will likely tower over every other figure in your WWE collection.
Survivor Series Elite
Bayley
Bret Hart
Hulk Hogan
Keith Lee
Next Ringside Collectibles exclusive figure is Tomasso Ciampa.
New Legends Series 13
- Jake The Snake
- Cowboy Bob Orton
- The Hurricane
- Triple H
Jake is the chase from his WCW Spin The Wheel time frame.
The Legends line is expanding to Ultimate Edition Legends starting with Batista, who’s in his iconic white and red attire.
This is the definitive look for Batista that I’ve wanted for years so I’m thrilled Mattel is knocking this look out finally and in my favorite attire for him. He’s exclusive to Target this Spring.
Next up is Kane. He’s got a nice alternate head sculpt as well.
We finally get the 98 era of The Undertaker we’ve been begging for as well.
We also got a tease of the Alexa Bliss Ultimate Edition figure as well.
Fan TakeOver Ultimates
Ultimate Warrior from Wrestlemania 6 won that fan vote.
WWE Basics
Championship Showdown
WWE Superstars (WalMart) is a line styled like the AWA Remco figures. This is cool for really old school collectors.
Wave 1 has Bray Wyatt, Hollywood Hogan, Ric Flair and Honky Tonk Man.

Mattel revealed the final Masters of the Universe wave with Stone Cold Trap Jaw, She-Ra Chyna and Stratos Rey Mysterio.
WWE Hollywood was next up. We’d already gotten news of the first wave of Rowdy Piper from They Live, The Rock from Hobbs & Shaw and John Cena from F9. This line is very disappointing as they look real basic without a ton of detail.
Wave 2 is a bit better with Rock as The Scorpion King, Roman Reigns from Hobbs & Shaw and Andre the Giant as Bigfoot from The Six Million Dollar Man. Interesting choices. These are Wal-Mart exclusives.
A Retro bundle set featuring Piper, Orton, Mean Gene and Mr. T will be available on Mattel Creations.
The panel wrapped with another pitch for the crowdfunded New Generation Arena project. Mattel didn’t bother with teases and showed the next two tiers after the project is funded.
Ultimate Doink as a heel is Tier 2. I wasn’t that excited when this was teased, but the figure really looks nice.
Tier 3 provides more ring skirts. These are always useful for me.
What’d you think of these reveals?
