Writer Joshua Williamson has a keen sense of where he’s taking Robin. Damian Wayne is confronted by his fellow former Robins asking him to return home to Gotham. This triggers a rooftop race where Damian faces off with his longtime allies. Williamson has these exchanges down with the characters sounding appropriately in character. This leads to an overdue and emotional conversation with Damian and Nightwing.

Artist Gleb Melkinov’s style is so lively that it truly captures the sense of momentum with the ex-Robins chasing Damian along the rooftops. Melkinov has a strong handle of layouts and perspectives to convey the most dynamic energy.

Luis Guerrero matches that excitement with colors that dazzle.

Robin continues to be a welcome surprise with strong characterization backed by a creatively executed premise.
