The Justice League is real king from Amazo crashing the multiverse. In this issue, Wonder Woman finds herself on a dying world.

The only other survivor? Darkseid, who shares a tragic story of how he and that world’s Wonder Woman went from uneasy allies to lovers.
Wonder Woman finds that hard to believe especially once Darkseid explains what dark force ruined his world.

Writers J.M. DeMatties and James Tucker craft an enjoyable installment that reads like it was translated from Justice League Unlimited.
DeMatties and Tucker do a solid job of capturing Wonder Woman’s intensity and grace from the show.

Artist Ethen Beavers commendably captures the visual style of the cartoon especially when pitting Wonder Woman against Darkseid.
Colorist Nick Filardi does some stellar work this issue with bold, fiery explosions, energy effects and more.

I like how the comic series actually references specific episodes. That provides a smart comics to cartoon series synergy.

This is such an easy book to just sit back and enjoy. The scripts aren’t needlessly complex and the art is energetic and overflowing with energy and movement.

Next issue’s issue will probably advance the main arc, but this was a strong diversion that gave Wonder Woman some much needed focus.
