Masters of the Universe Revelation Orko and Savage He-Man figures revealed
Mattel is really going hard with the Masters of the Universe Revelations line. That’s a good thing. Some of the release strategy is a bit questionable though. Like this latest set, which pairs Orko with Savage He-Man.
Savage He-Man is kind of a throwback figure for me in the sense that this uncouth, non-royalty barbarian was the original take of He-Man before the cartoon cleaned up the mythos significantly. I still have a soft spot for this take on He-Man, but I don’t know if I really needed this version paired with Orko.

Orko has always been cool and one of the few kid-intended sidekicks that I liked. He had a pretty tragic story in Revelations that kicked up a lot of dust in my house when I watched it.
Of course a two-pack isn’t going to be cheaper than one figure and in this case it’s a figure I really wanted with another neat to have, but not necessary addition. Maybe pairing Orko with Cringer would have been a better move?
It looks like there might be a purpose to this particular pairing based on the first poster for Revelation Part 2.
If Savage He-Man is the one battling Skelegod then maybe he might be joined by Orko? Just a thought. We’ll see.
What do you think of this set?
