DC Comics reviews 11/30/21 – Batman Fear State Omega #1, Human Target #2

Hardware Season One #3

Hardware-Season-One-3-1

Hardware gets a lot more intriguing this issue as writer Brandon Thomas takes Curtis Metcalf out of Dakota and on the run from his former mentor Alva.

Thomas also explores more of the complicated back story of the two as well as Alva’s old business partner, Asher, an expert in robotics.

This could lead to some major upgrades for Hardware, provided Alva can’t convince Asher to betray him.

Metcalf’s resolve to fix all the ills he’s brought about from collaborating with Alva makes for a powerful main arch.

Denys Cowan’s art remains spectacular with well captured emotions and strong action sequences. Bill Sienkiewicz’s inks and Chris Sotomayor’s color work add to the tremendous visual presentation.

Hardware is gaining momentum and has now reached the excitement level of other Milestone imprint titles, Static and Icon & Rocket. It’s a great time to be a fan of this reinvigorated Milestone universe.
