Spider-Man: No Way Home now among Top 10 highest grossing films
New year, same story. Spider-Man: No Way Home continues dominating the box office and swinging up the all-time domestic box office chart.
The third film in the Tom Holland saga brought in $54 million to take its impressive total above $600 million. That’s good enough to bump Incredibles 2 ($608 million) down to No. 11 on the all-time list.
Next up for No Way Home is Star Wars: Episode 9 – The Last Jedi ($620 million) and The Avengers ($623 million).
Overtaking Avengers: Infinity War ($679 million) seems like a likely feat, but it’ll be interesting to see if No Way Home has enough steam left to dethrone Black Panther ($700 million). at the No. 4 spot. Avatar ($760 million) is next up, which is a possibility since there’s little January box office competition.
Worldwide, No Way Home has earned $1,217 billion. That’s enough for No. 20 on the all-time global list.

Sing 2 has found a comfortable space to make some impact on the box office despite Spider-Man’s dominance. It brought in $19.4 million in its sophomore weekend to take its tally to $89.5 million. By the end of the week, it should surpass Encanto ($91 million) as the first animated film to top the $100 million mark since the start of the pandemic.
The King’s Man took the third spot with $4.5 million, but it’s basically been DOA. It’s only managed $19.3 million in two weeks.
American Underdog continues to live up to its name and brought in $4 million this weekend for a total of $15 million.
Coming in at fifth place is The Matrix Resurrections, which like The King’s Man, had hopes of sparking renewed interest in a franchise. With $3.8 million and $30.9 million over two weeks those hopes don’t look good. At least The Matrix sequel has the fallback excuse of the film also being available on HBO Max.
