Robin learns the full extent of his legacy as his great grandmother shares the origin of The League of Assassins, League of Shadows and the League of Lazarus.

Writer Joshua Williamson adds more layers to the Ra’s al Ghul legacy that work without disrupting any deep-seated continuity.

It would have been nice to get more non-mythical plain historical moments to pay more attention to Damian’s fellow tournament allies/rivals.

Artist Roger Cruz’s work overall is very solid though Cruz tended to draw Damian’s great-grandmother more like a model with white hair than an older, significantly aged woman. Luis Guerrero’s bright colors help establish a lighter, less dangerous tone than the kill or be killed tournament.

Although not the strongest installment, Robin continues to be a satisfying read with solid character development and a wide-open storyline.
