McFarlane Toys reveals DC Multiverse Jon Kent, Grifter
Chalk up another big win for Warner Bros. no guns for figures mandate. The Grifter figure from McFarlane Toys is sporting one of his trademark swords and a grenade?
It’s funny because all of the guys attacking Batman sure don’t appear to be using swords in The Batman trailer:

This was on top of the earlier reveal of Hush, who looks absurd rocking a pair of machetes.
The no gun mandate is unquestionably stupid and serves no purpose since so much of DC media from cartoons, TV shows to live-action movies feature guns. It’s not like kids aren’t being exposed to this so to act like they can’t exist in a kid’s toy world is silly.

Also silly is this nightmarish head sculpt for the Future State Jonathan Kent Superman figure.
Young Jon Kent was one of my favorite characters during DC Rebirth and I still think of all the awful things Brian Michael Bendis did during his run on Superman, aging up Jonathan was by far the worst.
This headsculpt might be a close second though as it doesn’t capture Jon’s personality at all.
I like Jon, but this figure isn’t great. What do you think of him and the Grifter figures?
