Preview: Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #2
DC has a major hit on its hands with Batman/Superman: World’s Finest.
Writer Mark Waid is bringing back that take the Silver Age into a modern perspective he (and previously perfected on JLA Year One.
The first issue was amazing and I’m already excited about checking out the second installment.

In this preview pages sent along by DC, Batman (and Robin) and Superman get some help from Supergirl and The Doom Patrol.
With a future installment featuring an appearance by Green Lantern, this comic feels like a great throwback for readers who like lighter hearted stories without all the cynicism and senseless death.
I rarely do the preview pages posts, but I really feel strongly about this book from Waid, artist Dan Mora, colorist Tamra Bonvillain and letterer Aditya Bidika. It’s got the same heart as Tom Taylor, Bruno Redondo and Adriano Lucas’ Nightwing and the same sense of fun and adventure as Jeremy Adam’s The Flash.
Issue #2 comes out on April 19.
