Marvel Legends Jigsaw review – Walgreens exclusive
Hasbro is dutifully knocking out the remaining Toy Biz figures left on its checklist. Jigsaw was definitely one that needed a Hasbro upgrade. As one of The Punisher’s main rivals, Jigsaw is pretty important, and his previous figure had the janky ball hips and weird articulation.
This should be a relatively easy update for Hasbro and a much-needed win for the Marvel Legends brand, which has taken some earned hits this year. Let’s see if Jigaw is a worthwhile addition to my collection or patchwork figure that wasn’t worth trying to track down.
Packaging: Jigsaw is another addition in the 2022 exclusive Walgreens theme of Marvel Super Villains. It carries over the green yellow and deep purple of the Build-A-Figure Xenmu wave.
Gotta appreciate the consistency. His portrait art is terrific and more importantly matches up with the figure correctly.
The bio is kinda uninspired as it doesn’t really offer much insight into the character or his vendetta with The Punisher.
Likeness: The best part of the Toy Biz Jigsaw figure was that gruesome, mangled head sculpt. It looked hideous in the best way possible.
Hasbro’s version isn’t quite as grotesque, but the detail is equally impressive. There’s stitch marks, staples, scars and other facial distortions. It’s simple, but I also love the hair sculpt with the bangs hiding the receding hairline.
The sneering expression is terrific and the stretched left eye add a ton of personality. He’s also got a neck brace with some rivets and paneling.
Jigsaw uses the common suit body now, but you might not make out the black tie against the black shirt.
Paint: Jigsaw offers a relatively simple paint job for Hasbro with his predominantly white suit. It just has black buttons and a handkerchief.
Most of the effort goes into the head sculpt, which is key since there’s so much scarring and intricate work with the stitches and staples. The face printing is excellent with the blue eyes, lips and teeth especially shining out. This is some quality work from Hasbro here.

Scale: Jigsaw is a regular dude who doesn’t need to be taller than a standard figure. He’s just a little shorter than the classic Punisher figure.
Articulation: The suit body allows for the typical articulation we expect from Marvel Legends.
Jigsaw isn’t the sit back and bark orders type crime boss. He’s happy to get involved and smash someone’s face in with his baseball bat or get involved in a shootout with The Punisher.
Jigsaw has:
- neck
- ball-jointed shoulders
- bicep
- elbow (double-jointed)
- wrist
- wrist hinge
- torso
- waist
- hip
- thigh
- knee (double-jointed)
- ankle
Accessories: Jigsaw has a higher amount of accessories, which has become the norm for retailer exclusive offerings.
He’s got a pair of knives with thick grips, a machete with a studded hilt and a baseball bat with black paint around the base.
When it’s time to fight from a distance, Jigsaw has a sawed-off shotgun. He’s also got gun effects with the two blasting rounds and the smoking vapor trail.
Worth it? Jigsaw clocks in at $23.99. This is the middle ground from the $22.99 and 24.99 price tag we’ve seen with various Marvel Legends figures this year.
I appreciate Hasbro trying to add in some value with the plethora of accessories. That’s better than some other figures we’ve seen in 2022.
Rating: 10 out of 10
Now that he’s in hand, Hasbro has another entry in the running for Best Figure of 2022. He’s absolutely worth tracking down.
Where to get it? Jigsaw is a Walgreens exclusive. Like we’ve seen with Binary and Mystique there’s a chance that you can grab him eventually from Amazon.
