Superman #2

Superman-2

The Joshua Williamson/Jamal Campbell run on Superman is just two issues in, but it already has the makings of a fresh, inspired and hopefully lengthy run.

Superman is contending with the Parasite clones while the group of mad scientists responsible consider their next move. It’s amusing that one of the evil scientists is named Dr. Pharm.

If the parasites and Lex Luthor buzzing in his ear wasn’t enough, Superman also encounters a new figure in Metropolis called Marilyn Moonlight. Campbell really knocked out her design as MM has a striking visual.

Campbell’s art is amazing. He brings such a unique take on Superman who’s both powerful and can just as easily be vulnerable and weak.
The color choices Campbell uses are always rich and luxurious making for stunning visuals.

Williamson and Campbell are on a roll with this title so far and the early returns are very promising as they establish a fun, interesting new status quo for Superman and his family.
