McFarlane Toys reveals DC Multiverse Mr. Terrific, Simon Baz

McFarlane Toys is plugging away at more and more members of the DC Universe. Today, two new figures debuted with Green Lantern Simon Baz and Mr. Terrific. This is in addition to the Lightning Lad figure revealed yesterday as part of Wal-Mart’s Collector Con.

Simon Baz came close to getting a figure in Mattel’s swan song with the DC license as part of their DC Multiverse line. His partner, Jessica Cruz, did get her figure out while the revealed Baz figure never made it through production. It’s nice to see one with some solid articulation and three different face plates to convey more emotions. I’m very interested in what kinds of constructs we’ll get with Baz. Hopefully there will be some unique to him.

One thing for sure that won’t be included with the Baz figure is his gun. That helped him stand out from the other Green Lanterns as he didn’t want to go out and be caught powerless. I’m very excited for this one.

I’m also excited for the reveal of Mr. Terrific. At first, I thought this was just the New 52 version, who was featured in a solo title for a bit. (Check out Mister Terrific: Mind Games on Amazon).

But the cool thing here is that’s one of the faceplates presumably the other two have the standard black T over his forehead. And the jacket is removable so older Mr. Terrific fans can get their classic look while New 52 fans can have that look in figure form.

Beyond those three, McFarlane revealed two new Gold Label figures of Superman and Hal Jordan. The Superman is largely based off the Action Comics #1000 figure with an updated cloth cape that does include the yellow S on the back.
