DC Multiverse Page Punchers Supergirl review (2025)

The Page Punchers Supergirl gives McFarlane Toys a badly needed do-over after a disappointing initial Supergirl release. With her newfound attention thanks to her upcoming DC Studios film, it made sense for this Page Punchers Supergirl to be based on the film’s inspiration — Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.

Packaging: Page Punchers Supergirl is presented in a packaging very similar to the old school Toy Biz Marvel Legends setup with the clamshell packaging and a comic book.

I still find it a little weird that the comic is facing the rear leaving the figure showcased with nothing but a black backdrop. Fittingly for this one is Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow #1.

Likeness: The first comic Supergirl figure had one positive with her soft goods wired cape but had far more problems. It was based more on the CW TV costume with a darker color palette and boots that went up above her skirt in a really silly visual. Additionally, she was using the Catwoman buck, which created some costume limitations.

Page Punchers Supergirl is a much truer take on Kara Zor-El and is just overall a far more impressive figure. McFarlane Toys doesn’t always get a chance for a do-over with some characters so it was both good and smart of them to get it right with this Supergirl. The torso is similar to the Rebirth Supergirl figure, but the lower half features newly sculpted parts most obvious from the boots ending just above her knee.

Her head sculpt is pretty good with an impressive approximation of the artwork style of WOT artist Bilquis Evely. Page Punchers Supergirl has the wavy hair, somewhat scrunched up nose and a dynamic flow to her skirt. Save for a Krypto figure, you could easily manage to re-enact the Woman of Tomorrow #1 cover image.

One huge way that’s possible is the return of the soft good poseable cape, which allows for some fun posing.

Scale: Page Punchers Supergirl is actually not Amazon sized like Wonder Woman, Power Girl or Hawkgirl. She’s shorter than the Supermen figures using the Crisis on Infinite Earths mold. If nothing else, it was key for her to be shorter than Superman even though with this storyline she’s not interacting with other DC heroes or villains.

Paint: McFarlane Toys hasn’t had a lot of shaky paint jobs with the DC Multiverse line. There might be an occasional stray paint smear or overspray, but this has been one of the more consistently strong lines I collect in terms of being able to trust the paint applications won’t be a problem. With some figures it’s not like you have the option to choose between a better version, but paint flaws thankfully are a rarity.

My Page Punchers Supergirl has a slight defect as it looks like there was some paint rub on her nose, which took some of the paint off. It’s more of a problem looking closely at the figure and thankfully not something obvious from a distance.

That tiny flaw aside the rest of the paint is superb. She gets a brown wash to bring out some the of sculpted details in her blonde hair. It also seems like there is a very subtle makeup application on her face complete with a really nice textured approach for her lipstick.

The Page Punchers Supergirl also gets a lighter shade of blue and red for her costume. These shades pretty closely match up to the DC Digital Superman, which is nice. Instead of yellow for her belt and boot tops, they’re painted gold to match up with the source material.

Her boots should have some gold/yellow at the toes based on the comic book look but ignoring that fits in better with a classic look at Supergirl.

Articulation: Supergirl needs to be able to hit a convincing flying pose, mid-air pose and be able to throw some punches with gusto. In Woman of Tomorrow, Supergirl is gradually losing her powers thanks to the lack of a yellow sun. That makes her included accessory more useful although with just one clutching hand you won’t be able to do any cool dual-handed grip poses.

With the usual 22 points of articulation Supergirl has decent range of movement although her skirt does create some restrictions.

Page Punchers Supergirl has:

  • neck
  • ball-jointed shoulders
  • butterfly shoulders
  • elbow
  • wrist
  • wrist hinge
  • torso
  • waist
  • hip
  • thigh
  • knee
  • ankle
  • toe

Accessories: Page Punchers Supergirl comes with a separate set of fists, which are useful alternate hand options. She also comes with the sword from the cover. This is really nicely done with some surprising attention to detail.

Check the cover image of the hilt, which has a curved edge going up on one side and going down on the other. That’s reflected with the toy version. That is very impressive along with the star pattern in the blade itself.

When McFarlane wants to deliver on a figure, they really do an excellent job right down to the smallest details.

Additionally, she comes with the signature black circle stand and the Woman of Tomorrow #1.

Worth it?  Page Punchers Supergirl was $25.99, which is a decent value in this era of rising figure costs.

Rating: 9.5 out of 10

The Page Punchers Supergirl is a vast improvement over the initial comic release with an impressive translation of the Woman of Tomorrow look. This will definitely be in the Top 10 McFarlane figures of 2025 list.

Where to get it?  Page Punchers Supergirl wasn’t too awful to find at Target for a while, but after that Page Punchers lineup has left stores, she’s a lot harder to find. You can still get her from Amazon.
