DC Multiverse Page Punchers Kingdom Come Superman review (2025)
Kingdom Come Superman made a shocking arrival in the modern DC Universe in Justice Society. Not shockingly, JSA writer Geoff Johns made it work extremely well adding an element of the classic JSA to the then-modern team. McFarlane Toys has made some serious progress on this team with the latest wave of Page Punchers (We still desperately need a Stargirl though) headlined by the arrival of Kingdom Come Superman.
He’s using a now familiar buck that all but ensures at minimum, he’ll be pretty good. But let’s see if the Kingdom Come Superman is one of 2025’s standouts or just gets wiped out in a red cloud of dust and fallout.
Packaging: The Page Punchers packaging is just like the old school Toy Biz Marvel Legends setup complete with the super hard to avoid cutting your hand when opening it clamshell packaging and a comic book.
Unlike the Starman and Damage figures, Kingdom Come Superman is prominently featured on the cover of Justice Society of America #10.
Likeness: Kingdom Come Superman uses the Crisis on Infinite Earths Earth-2 Superman mold. It’s by far the best choice for all classic versions of Superman and an ideal fit for this older, but just as formidable version of The Man of Steel. The costume doesn’t require any different sculpting as it’s all down to the head sculpt for capturing that Alex Ross likeness.
Since this is a hybrid of the Kingdom Come Superman and the JSA version, the head sculpt doesn’t need to look exactly like Ross’ artwork. That said, this is a pretty sharp likeness translating it to figure form. He’s got a wider chin and more lines in his head to convey an older Superman. McFarlane Toys doesn’t tend to try and capture and artist’s likeness with every figure, but this is one of their best.
And like the other figures using this mold, Kingdom Come Superman has a soft goods poseable cape.
Scale: Thankfully the Kingdom Come Superman is scaled properly as the broadest and tallest regular-sized character in the Multiverse line. He’s taller than all of his JSA teammates from Wildcat, The Flash, Power Girl and Starman.

Paint: If there were any ‘significant’ issues with the Kingdom Come Superman it’s here. Nope, it’s not anything wrong with the outfit, which has all the details including the unique S shield — it’s the hair.
Superman had greying temples in Kingdom Come and in JSA. The figure has a miniscule trace of grey, but nowhere close to the amount it needed. At least slapping a little grey paint is an easy fix up.
Articulation: Kingdom Come Superman gets the usual 22 points of articulation, which is plenty to cover all of the essential Superman poses. This body has an excellent range of motion so there’s really no posing limitations here.
This mold is just really fun to pose and helps give Superman the stature of the JSA’s heavy hitter.
Kingdom Come Superman has:
- neck
- ball-jointed shoulders
- butterfly shoulders
- elbow
- wrist
- wrist hinge
- torso
- waist
- hip
- thigh
- knee
- ankle
- toe
Accessories: Kingdom Come Superman does get something besides the faithful black circular stand and a reprint of JSA #10. It’s a set of open palm/flying hands, which are very useful of course for any flying character.
Worth it? I got Kingdom Come Superman for the usual $22.99 price, though he normally retails for $27.99, which is a tough price even for such a great figure. It doesn’t hurt that the likeness is so spot-on.
Rating: 9.5 out of 10
Kingdom Come Superman makes a great addition to the Multiverse line. With little likelihood of other KC figures, he’ll slot in nicely with the Justice Society who still needs more teammates to join the Man of Steel.
Where to get it? Kingdom Come Superman is the base offering so he’s a little easier to find than platinum figures Starman and Damage. You can still get him from Amazon.
