Justice League Omega Act Special 1

This prelude to DC KO was a strong setup for what’s to play out over the next few weeks.

Superman rescued Booster Gold from the clutches of the Dark Legion and now The Time Trapper/Doomsday seeks his aid in escaping the imminent reign of Darkseid.

Booster wants Doomsday to tell the League the extent of Darkseid’s plans. But he won’t be doing it in his own as The Flash joins the expedition.

Writer Joshua Williamson has an extended run with Wally West so it’s not shocking that he has no trouble making him a worthwhile addition to this group.

The group was s pivotal moments in DC history as well as Darkseid’s Dark Legion running roughshod over the multiverse. Williamson has definitely made the Dark Legion a near unstoppable force. It’d be fitting for the heroic Legion to ultimately be the ones to stop them.

Williamson also introduces a wrinkle in the backstory of Krypton as Lara and Ursa have an adventure before their lives take a different path. This is an intriguing development as it establishes a link between both of Superman’s parents and Zod and Ursa.

Cian Tormey and Yasmine Putri provide strong artwork with intense action sequences and expressive characters.

The Omega Act Special makes for an exciting warm up for DC KO and this next clash with Darkseid.
