Jada Toys Ultra Street Fighter 2: The Final Challengers Guile review (2025)

Guile was always a cool fighter to use thanks to his mix of projectiles and wrestling moves. It’s a bit ironic and fitting that the new Street Fighter movie will have Guile played by a wrestler (Cody Rhodes).

I’ve picked up several Guile figures in various Street Fighter lines including from SOTA Toys and Storm Collectibles. Jada Toys hasn’t disappointed me yet with their figures so I’m curious how well they nailed Guile.

Let’s see if Guile warrants a salute or if he should be busted down to latrine duty for a month.

Packaging: Similar to every other figure in the line, Guile has the arcade style cabinet presentation. There’s no need for Jada Toys to switch up the look now in order to keep the look consistent for MOC collectors.

I still wish there was some personalization with the packaging. All we get is the country of origin on the side and line about his fighting style. The back features Guile in his fighting stance ready for action and the video game layout featuring all of the World Warriors.

Likeness: Guile is known for his signature flattop, which basically looks like a saucer on his head. He’s got a great stern expression befitting his loading screen image.

Staying true to the source material, Guile has broad shoulders and a muscular torso. He looks like a gym rat/workout freak. Guile’s tank top is sculpted on and not just left up to the paintjob with a lined pattern to convey that it’s clothing and not just a skin-tight shirt.

His baggy pants flare out and bunch up at his boots just like they do in the game.

Scale: In Street Fighter II, Guile stands at 6′ the same height as Dee Jay and taller than the 5’9″ Dhalsim, the 5’11” Ken and Ryu and the 5’8″ Fei Long. His wider torso makes him look even more formidable than Dee Jay and almost not a fair fight matching him up against Dhalsim.

MORE:

Paint: Jada Toys doesn’t do shoddy paintjobs. Guile’s skin tone gets a light orange or pink wash to further show off his muscles. On either side he’s got an American flag tattoo on his shoulders.

There is no issue with the silver belt buckle and the camouflage application on the pants looks sharp. He’s got a Player 2 color scheme with blue swapped out for the green. Those were the colors I used for Guile, but I’m sticking to the classic colors with Jada’s figures.

Articulation: What helps every Jada Toys figure stand out is the articulation, which allows for some exceptionally fluid figures that can hit all the moves from the games.

Guile has a wider center of balance compared to some of the other figures making for a good base to handle his aggressive fight stances.

Guile was a lot of fun to pose hitting his Sonic Booom, Flash Kick, Crossfire Somersault and Sonic Hurricane.

Accessories: Jada Toys stays consistent with the accessory roll out for all of the figures.

Guile gets the requisite alternate hands. He has a thumbs up right hand and a slicking the flattop left hand that also doubles as a saluting gesture.

He does have a bonus extra accessory with his comb. It’s impressively detailed with the separate teeth although you’re going to want to keep a close eye on it as it’s small enough to get swallowed up quickly by the carpet monster. Also, Guile has his dog tags. Like Dee Jay, Jada Toys actually uses a small chain to reflect that style necklace on the figure.

Additionally, Guile gets a translucent sonic boom sphere cast in a yellow plastic. It’s got a nice wide sculpt with an energy trail within the circle. As always, Jada also included the smaller stand to support it as if he launched it.

Finally, he gets an alternate head portrait. This one features an intense teeth-gritted expression, which fits in with Guile’s serious soldier demeanor.

Worth It? The Jada Toys Street Fighter line has been erratic in terms of pricing. If you can find them in stores, they are typically $24.99, but the distribution is still just spotty enough that online is your best option. I found him for the $25 price, which is a fair value for these figures as they’ve maintained a consistent accessory roll out for each figure.

Rating: 9.5 out of 10

Guile is an outstanding figure. The only downside of course is the lack of the foot attached Sonic Boom.

Where to Get It?  Guile hasn’t shown up around my local GameStop or Target stores, but I did get him from Barbarian Comics at the base $25 price. You can also get him from Amazon. He’s also available from Entertainment Earth.
