Marvel Legends Gamerverse Juggernaut review (2025)

Cain Marko has had some pretty good Marvel Legends figures, but the Gamerverse Juggernaut is the new contender looking to take the top spot. When the Marvel Legends team debuted the figure as part of their unofficial Marvel vs. Capcom wave, they teased a power effect associated with Juggernaut in the game.

With two strong figures released already, it’s going to take a special figure for the Gamerverse Juggernaut to truly stand out. Let’s see if this version is truly unstoppable or if it’s simply going to get pushed to the back of the collection.

Packaging: The Gameverse line has a fun package setup with a purplish-blue color scheme, the Gameerverse logo in the top center (as well as the top) and Juggernaut written in the MVC font. Either side has a game style drawing with the figure posed with a black outline to simulate the game aesthetic.

Over on the back is one picture with the game’s training mode backdrop with Gamerverse Juggernaut standing victorious over Silver Samurai. This was a flawless victory for his team as Wolverine and Gargantos didn’t take a hit either.

The one-sentence bio sums his abilities fine. It’s hard to complain about that since it’s one of five languages on the back.

Likeness: Previous Marvel Legends Juggernaut figures were formidable looking compared to other figures. No slight to them as they were good figures, but the Gamerverse Juggernaut is easily the most impressive. Earlier versions had a tapered waist that gave him an extreme V-portrait with his larger shoulders.

The GV Juggernaut is just thick all around as he’s more of a thick block more befitting a lumbering character. It’s so visually impressive as he just looks like a massive force of nature that would literally take a full squad of X-Men to defeat. Losing the slimmer weight means so much to his overall aesthetic. His mid torso has some texturing to it as well as the vertical lines that are common in the outfit.

His arms are equally massive measuring out to the size of two smaller figures together. They’ve got the bands around his arms, wrists and knuckles. He also has good definition Gamerverse Juggernaut’s legs are probably a tad shorter than they should be as he’s not portrayed as a slightly stumpy character.

I love the Gamerverse Juggernaut’s head sculpt as he’s got a gritted teeth expression and great intensity in his eyes. His helmet has the bolts at the base for the X-Men to target in order to shut him down via someone’s telepathic abilities.

Paint: Gamerverse Juggernaut has a pretty basic paint scheme with most of his outfit just molded in that respective color. The paintwork done on the visible sections of his face inside the helmet is nicely done with some subtle work around his gums.

I wouldn’t mind seeing a bit darker shade of red used for his eyebrows, however.

There is a bit of a wash around the veins along his arms, which helps to make them look more defined.

Scale: Juggernaut is 9’5″, which actually makes him taller than the 9′ Hulk and the 7’5″ Colossus so he should tower over most of the normal size heroes especially the 5’3″ Wolverine.

Not that character height is strictly adhered to with the Gamerverse style.

Articulation: So far, Gamerverse Juggernaut has won in the likeness and scale category, but here’s where it really matters. And yep, chalk this up as another win for the Gamerverse Juggernaut.

He’s got butterfly shoulders — a first for Juggernaut figures, which allows for more pummeling blows and to put his hands together.  5He also has that fun floating rocker torso allowing for greater side to side range.

Thanks to the enhanced articulation scheme, Gamerverse Juggernaut can hunch down and charge at his opponents.

Gamerverse Juggernaut has:

• hip

• knee (double-jointed)

Accessories: Given the size of the Gamerverse Juggernaut, it was surprising he came with more accessories than some much smaller figures.

He gets a set of alternate grabbing hands — ideal for snatching another figure up or blocking an attack.

Next, he gets the explosive contact burst when Juggernaut connects with his opponent or object. It’s made of a translucent orange and yellow plastic. It more easily connects to his fist if you remove the bracer first.

Worth it?  Gamerverse Juggernaut is a more solid and thicker figure than the usual $50 deluxe figure so his price tag of $65 doesn’t seem outrageous. Considering his heft and the fact that he actually has some accessories the value sems pretty decent.

Rating: 10 out of 10

We’re too late in the year for the Gamerverse Juggernaut to not make the Marvel Legends Top 10 for 2025. This is a great figure that renders all the other Juggernauts unnecessary.
