Marvel Legends Husk review (2025) BAF Nemesis wave

Husk adds a third member to Generation X in Hasbro’s Marvel Legends line. Or fourth depending on your pickiness with Jubilee’s costume. As the younger sister of Cannonball, she continues the family tradition of joining an X-squad like their older sibling like Havok and Magik before her.

Let’s see if there’s no bones about Marrow being a welcome addition to the Marvel Legends X-Men roster or if she’s better off left in the figure graveyard.

Packaging: The Build-A-Figure Nemesis wave features the mostly black with a prominent X-Men logo and a touch of orange yellow in the upper right.

The artwork is from Chris Bachalo, which is repeated across the three images. That’s not as much fun as when three different character portraits are used.

The bio does a decent job of explaining Husk’s powers and her association with the X-Men although there’s no mention of Generation X, which is a little odd.

Likeness: Husk is a smart reuse of the Monet St. Croix mold (get Monet on Amazon), which has all the details of the standard Generation X costume. It’d be nice to get Jubilee in this attire as well albeit with some slighter details to make her shorter.

The mold mostly uses the Shriek mold with the needed additional armor parts of her costume.

Paige’s head sculpt is very nicely done giving her a youthful enough looking appearance. That’s the only difference from the Monet figure.

marvel legends husk review - scale with banshee, monet and jubilee

Scale: Husk is slightly above average height at 5’7″ so she’s closer in height to the 5’9″ Nightcrawler. She’s the same height as Monet naturally.

MORE:

Paint: Husk has a solid paint job. The Gen X outfit is very simple in terms of paintwork with the red outfit and gold armored sections.

Smaller details like her zipper and belt lining are neatly done as well.

Her makeup is applied smoothly providing some color without making her look like a clown. I wish Hasbro gave her a brown wash to break up the bright yelllow white used.

Articulation: Husk has great articulation thanks to the Shriek mold. It’s beaten out with the new Black Widow mold in place, but this is a solid runner-up.

She has no problem getting all kinds of dramatic poses although her hair provides some limitations to her left/right and up/down movement.

Husk has:

  • neck
  • ball-jointed shoulders
  • butterfly shoulders
  • bicep
  • elbow (double-jointed)
  • wrist
  • wrist hinge
  • torso
  • hip
  • thigh
  • knee (double-jointed)
  • ankle

Accessories: Husk gets some creative accessories that break the norm for Marvel Legends.

First is an alternate yelling portrait with her hair dramatically posed behind her while her skin is partially torn showing a metallic armor underneath. This a unique way to show her power in action.

That’s not the only showcase as she has a section of peeled away skin that can be placed on her shoulder or in her hand for more dramatic poses. I love seeing the ML team getting so unpredictable with a character’s powers in action.

Husk also has a set of swappable fists.

Finally, she’s got the torso of the BAF Nemesis.

Worth It? Husk is the base $25 price. She’s got enough unique elements as well as a BAF piece to make her well worth that price point.

Rating: 9 out of 10

Husk gets a very solid figure to further pad out the Generation X ranks and hopefully Hasbro will keep adding more to the roster.
