WWE Legends Series 31 Crush review (2026)

After Demolition disbanded, Crush had to establish his own identity in the WWF’s New Generation. His initial makeover was pretty surprising as he shifted from an all-black leather clad attire to a happy-go-lucky colorful Kona Crush.

Crush had some memorable moments during this positive vibes era of his career, but his Evil Kona tenure remains my favorite.

Let’s see if I’m vibing with this Legends Kona Crush or if it makes me feel like my head is in a vice.

Packaging: Crush is in the standard Legends packaging with the warm brown and gold color scheme with black accents spotlighting his name. Both sides feature the image of him done in the Legends painted art style.

There’s a minor design change as now it features a small Build-A-Figure banner spotlighting the wave’s BAF The Diamond Studd on the right side.

Over on the back is the usual fantastic bio breaking down this period of his WWF run.

Likeness: Crush was a mammoth powerhouse in the New Generation era. Mattel largely used the formula for the Demolition figure with a new thick torso.

Crush gets a slightly tweaked head sculpt with new hair to better reflect his flowing mullet. He’s got mid-sized knee pads that fortunately don’t hinder articulation.

Scale:  At 6’6” he towered over most of his opponents including the 6’1” Shawn Michaels, 6’ and Doink the Clown though he’s eye level with Papa Shango and looking up at the 6’8″ Berserker.

MORE:

Paint: Crush reflected the brighter color palette of the New Generation Era with his outfit.

His purple singlet top features his logo in yellow being crushed at the top and bottom. The yellow explosive burst is weak since yellow almost always needs additional paint apps. Some of the purple on the side of the singlet was missing on my figure.

He had an orange belt leading to his yellow bicycle pants broken up by his purple knee pads and back to yellow boots. There’s some sloppy application of the black laces on his boots but that is not surprising as that’s just hard to execute properly. It’s a colorful costume.

Articulation: Crush utilized an array of power impact moves like big boots, tilt a whirl suplexes, press slams, back breakers and lariats.

With the benefit of the double-jointed elbows, Crush can easily hit his head vice finisher.

  • wrist hinge
  • torso

  • thigh
  • knee (double-jointed)

Accessories:  Crush doesn’t have a ton of obvious accessory options. Due to the expressive head sculpt, an additional neutral one would have been welcome.

He does come with an additional two sets of hands —gripping and a set unique to him with the shaka bands. That’s a cool inclusion for him.

That’s all that he gets so he also comes with the waist and legs for the Build-A-Figure Diamond Studd.

Worth it?  Legends figures start off at $24.99, which is a perfectly solid price for a 6” figure line. Target tends to have a bunch of sales before factoring in clearance prices. I was able to get Crush for $10. At clearance, the Legends figures can get as low as $7.49, but you do run the risk of them selling out at that price.

Rating: 9 out of 10

Crush gets a strong figure based on the most colorful phase of his career. With this look knocked out hopefully Mattel will tackle Evil Kona look next.

Where to get it?  Target is the exclusive home for WWE Legends at Target.com. To get other Crush figures, check out Amazon.
